OK Go Videos

OK Go have become the kings of viral music videos.  After their revolutionary music video for "Here it Goes Again", which featured the band performing choreography on treadmills, they've consistently delivered fresh, interesting videos that are perfect for viral audiences.  It's interesting that the band makes low budget, innovative videos instead of the large scale productions most music stars put out.  And although they don't have as big a following as Britney Spears for example, the critics have embraced their creative music videos, and OK Go has garnered a cult following awaiting their next viral creation.

RIP Steve Jobs

The news of the death of Steve Jobs rapidly spread across the Internet, but I did not expect such a huge tribute to the genius behind Apple.  Dribbble is a design blog I regularly visit where designers can post their most recent projects.  When I logged on to Dribbble the other day, the website was overrun with art honoring the late Steve Jobs.  This forum is an excellent place for computer users to upload art dedicated to a man who changed the way they design and share their work with the world.  These are just a few of the many pictures dedicated to Jobs found on the site.  Memes don't always have to be funny or ridiculous.  Sometimes they can be serious and pay homage to an important figure.

Nyan Cat

I have no idea why this is popular.  I saw this random image of a random creature that was half pop tart and half cat flying in space on several websites on the Internet, and after a little searching I found out it was called Nyan Cat.  I then googled the website, expecting a funny video or at least something mildly entertaining, but that's not what I found.  Instead the YouTube clip that is just this weird cat/breakfast pastry flying through space to the sound of techno music.  That's it.  Nothing else.  I thought that because this meme was so pointless it would go away, but it's still going strong on the web.  It now has over 40 million views, and has tons of iterations.  I've posted a few below.  It even has an entire website dedicated to the meme.  I hope this dies away soon, but it doesn't seem like that's a possibility for a while.
